The Boondocks voice over Regina King getting crazy this season on ‘Southland’
Regina King, the voice over of “The Boondocks” has got a new partner in upcoming season of southland, who is quite aggressive and makes her go crazy. I wish her best of luck to cop up with not only criminals but her new partner also. She is better known as an actress but also famous for campaigning for Obama in elections. She was his one of the prominent supporter and said, “So it’s just, it’s a very grass roots way to get the world out. And you know it’s how Obama started his campaign and that’s how he’s been winning the last few primaries, by not forgetting about the so called little people.”
Best known for “The Boondocks”, Regina King has been nominated several times for her perfect presentation of the character and won Best Actress award by BET Award and NAACP Image Award for the movie ‘Ray’. Nowadays, she is busy in ‘Our Family Wedding’, which is going to be released next year. Her sister, Reina King, is also famous like her in the glamour world. Both sisters share ‘Queen’ as same meaning of their names but the only trick is that her name means queen in Latin and her sister’s in Spanish.
Regina started her acting career quite early in life at the age of 14 years in a television show ‘227′, which proved to be a mega hit situational comedy drama. She played the role of ‘Marla Gibbs’ continuously for five years until the show was closed. Since then she has worked in lots and lots of movies, television and stage shows.
Regina is one of my favorite actresses and I love to watch her movies and shows. Basically, I love her voice more than her looks because whatever she says is full with emotions and make the words present more than their actual meaning. No doubt, that is the reason why she was selected to give her voice for two main characters, Riley and Huey freeman in “The Boondocks”. The show received great love from fans during its run.
